So far, with a 2-0 record early on into the event, he might just accomplish his goal.
The first tournament of the year has begun! After a hitting a few speed bumps before the start of the event, our 124 contestants were finally able to clash for glory and cash! Some are tournament regulars, while others, like creepinator45, are new to the scene. And though most would argue that with experience comes the confidence to think and act outside the box, this greenhorn's deck of choice highlights cajones that many veterans can't even claim. As a fun way to celebrate and add some excitement to the game, we like to hold tournaments with special rules every 100 Slifer tournament brackets. These are known as “Slifer Specials.”
In November, we finally reached an impressive 500 Slifer brackets. So, we decided to make Slifer 500 a “No Trinity” tournament. Rules for some tournaments can be complex, but this one was simple: You couldn’t play Delinquent Duo, Graceful Charity, or Pot of Greed! What cards did players use to fill these missing staple slots? What decks became stronger or weaker? With 32 competitors and an Obelisk ticket on the line for 1st place, these were the decks that reached top 8, as well as the thoughts of those who piloted them. Goat Format 2022 New Events Tournament Organizers may now apply to have their Goat Format event be apart of the Goat Grand Prix. Goat Grand Prix events may be sanctioned Konami events (Thanks to the new Time Wizard Format) or unsanctioned. THERE IS NO CHARGE TO HOST A GOAT GRAND PRIX (Free Prizes from GoatFormat.com Included!) Winner's of Goat Grand Prix sanctioned tournaments receive invites to the 2022 Goat Format World Championship, which will be hosted online. Winner's will also receive Goat Format World Championship Qualifier Playmats. If entrants are 64 then second place receives a World Championship invite, if 96+ top 4 receive World Championships invites. If the tournament is live streamed the event will also be hosted on the Goat Format twitch channel. Tournament structure is up to the tournament organizer, however the following conditions must be applied if application to the Goat Grand Prix is accepted. Must be advertised 2 months in advance, advertising information of event must be submitted to goatformat.com two months in advance of the event. Must have a min. of 32 players to qualify. Must follow goatformat.com card pool. Must follow goatformat.com rulings. Must submit tournament standings/bracket to goatformat.com within 72 hours of event. Must submit top 8 deck list to goatformat.com within 72 hours of event. Must submit photos taken at the event within 72 hours of event. You can submit an application to host a Goat Grand Prix here.
