Slifer Special - Jurassic Park!

The Goat Format Europe discord server often runs tournaments with special rulesets named Slifer Specials, which has now become a bi-monthly series.

Slifer Specials focus on a fun and creative experience for players, and not allow for "alt win" decks or burn spells/traps (except for ring of destruction) which would otherwise homogenize decks and lead to less exciting matchups.

This July, the theme of the tournament was Jurassic Park, where players could only use Jurassic-themed monsters. Those being Dinosaur, Fish, Insect, Plant, and Rock-type.

While many players expected to face a variant of the "dreaded" PACMAN deck, as you will see with the top 4 decks below, there was a decent variety. Ranging from Water Beatdown, to Insect Imitation decks, to Reasoning Gate, to Megarock OTK, and more.

Prizes for this event were as follows:
1st Place - A Ra Yellow ticket for Academy League. As well as a combination of $20 in DB donations codes/Discord Nitro.
2nd Place - A Ra Yellow ticket for Academy League.
Deckbuilding Prize - The player with the staff's favorite deck which didn't get 1st place won either a $10 DB donation code/1 month Discord Nitro.
