Road to the 2021 Goat Format World Championships

We are half way through the 2021 season, so lets take a look at the upcoming Goat Format.com events that will offer invites to this year's World Championships!

We kick off June with Dale Bellido's 100 Goat open! This single elimination tournament will take place on June 13th but is only open to the first 100 players to sign up. The winner will receive a $100 and an invite to the World Championships.

Early July will bring us to GFC 13 on July 10th,  but later that month we are combining two of our most popular events into one. That's right, TGFC 2 - Euros! This tournament will be a 3v3 team tournament where all the members of the winning team will earn an invite to Worlds for winning. This tournament will be held at a European-friendly start time but is open to any team from any region to play in. This tournament will take place on July 24th.

August will bring us to GFC 14 and September will host to GFC 15. As a reminder, GFC events are free to play and have a prize pool of $100 to the first place player with an additional $1 added to the pool per entry past 100 thanks to our sponsor Dueling on Earth.

Early in October, we will be holding a last chance qualifier event in the form of the Max Suffridge Memorial Tournament. Max won the 2005 U.S. National Championships and was the inaugural member of the Goat Format Hall of Fame. This event will have small entry fee and 100% of the entries collected will be donated charity. The top 4 of this event will receive an invitation to the Goat Format World Championships, with additional prizing to be announced.

Additionally, our World Championship Qualifier tournaments will continue into October of this year. To enter these events, you must be a member of our Discord and the $10 Tournament Tier on Patreon.

Goat Format World Championship Qualifier tournaments will award  Goat Format World Championship invites and cash prizes based on entry numbers. These tournaments will be held once a month, they will be one day events, double elimination or Swiss depending on the number of entrants. 

2-15 entrants = $50 Prize
16-29 = $50 Prize + 1st Place World Championship Invite
30-39 entrants = $75 Prize + 1st and 2nd Place World Championship Invites
40-49 entrants = $100 Prize + 1st, 2nd, and 3rd World Championship Invites
50+ entrants = $150 Prize + 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th World Championship Invites

*Note World Championship invites do not pass down, if a player with a World Championship invite qualifies for a second (or more) time the player with the most extra invites will receive the highest seed and possible early round bye for World Championships

These events will help fund the prizing for the 2021 Goat Format World Championships, as well as help support the continued efforts of GoatFormat.com.

The next two World Championship Qualifier events will take place on June 26th and July 18th. Dates for August, September, and October will be announced at a later time.

Late October it's time for the 2021 Goat Format World Championship!
