Introducing the VIP Membership Program

A handful of players have asked us about how they can contribute a few dollars to GoatFormat.com other than just buying one of our T-shirts. However, we don't like to ask for handouts from the community, so instead we have created a VIP program which will allow you to support the Goat Format community while also receiving a multitude of benefits. And for those who would like access to the VIP program without spending a few bucks a month, there is good news: There are other ways to become a VIP. All of the details behind the program are explained below.

VIP Benefits

For a list of all of the benefits that you get with our VIP program, you can visit our store by clicking here. I'll highlight some of the key benefits:

• Highest seeding in our tournaments. For example, in a 30-person tournament, two first-round byes will need to be awarded. These byes will always be given to VIPs first. This will give VIPs a small edge in any tournament, while still allowing anyone to win. There will be at least one tournament every month from now on, ensuring that you do get value out of this benefit.
• Access to the GoatFormat.com Backroom on Discord. All of our biggest internal decisions are made here. You will have the ability to weigh in on them.
• One shoutout + one article. We'll give you (and one of your social media accounts) a shoutout in an article or video that I upload each month as way of thanking you and giving you some exposure. In addition, you can make one specific article or video request, which we will fulfill as soon as possible.
• Early access to the draft of GoatFormat.com's first book. What's in that book, you might wonder? Only one way to find out.

How to Get VIP For Free

There two ways to get VIP benefits for free. The first is to make an article or video for GoatFormat.com. There is a variety of different types of content that we are willing to accept, including deck guides, tournament reports, strategy articles, duel review videos, and card of the week videos. If this is something that you are interested in doing, please contact our staff on Discord. 

The second way that you can gain VIP membership is simply by being an active member of our Discord. Our GoatBot now keeps track of a new form of activity points simply called "Goats." You can cash in 1000 Goats for 1 month of VIP membership. You can earn Goats with each of the following actions:

• For your first message each day, you earn 1 Goat.
• For winning a ranked match, you earn 3 Goats.
• For losing a ranked match, you earn 2 Goats.
• For referring someone to the Discord server using your invite code, you can earn Goats every time they do (making this the most effective method for "farming Goats").
