Thank you all so much for joining us for the 2020 Goat Format season, we are very proud of the Goat Format community's growth and we can't wait to see where 2021 brings us. Below is a preview of the events we plan to host for the 2021 season and a soft outline of the dates for the events, all of which will be leading up to the Goat Format World Championship in October of 2021!

Our first event for the new year will be the return of our main stay tournament series, the Goat Format Championships. GFC 11 will be taking place on January 2 2021, sign ups will be taken on Discord starting January 1 2021. GFC 11 will be a Free entry, Double Elimination tournament that will cut to Top 4. The top 4 players will enter a new Double Elimination bracket where losses from the previous bracket will not count. First and Second place will receive invites to the 2021 Goat Format World Championships, first place will also receive VIP membership to GoatFormat.com.

This February we will be hosting our first 3 vs 3 Goat Format event. You can form a team of 3 players and enter into the double elimination bracket. Find two friends to form a team (create a team name) or throw your name into the pool and we will match you up with other players! (make some new Goat Format friends!) All members of the winning team will receive invites to the Goat Format World Championships. (note: 3v3 rules mean all members of your team each round play a 1v1 match against another team, if 2 out 3 of members on your team win their match, then your team advances to the next round. Players will each have a label of A,B, or C and those players will play the opposite teams matching letter.)

We will be hosting the second annual Max Suffridge Memorial tournament. DuelistGroundz.com first hosted this event in October of 2017, we are happy to pick up the mantel make this a yearly GoatFormat.com event. Max won the 2005 U.S. National Championships and was the inaugural member of the Goat Format Hall of Fame. This will be the first time that we take entry fees for an event, all fees will go towards the charity of the Suffridge family's choosing. Top 4 of this event shall receive an invitation to the Goat Format World Championships.

Next up we have the promised return of Sleeper Meta tournament series with Sleeper Meta 5! The goal Sleeper Meta tournaments is to highlight cards in the Goat Format card pool that normally do not see play. Will will announce the special rules for Sleeper Meta 5 when the event gets closer.

​Tournament Entry for this event will be Free, with a $25 prize for first place.

We want to try something new/requested for GoatFormat.com, the King of Games Tournament Series will be a two day Swiss tournament and it will be hosted on Facebook. Top 8 of this event will play off in the following day. This will be a Free entry tournament with a prize of $100 as well as the title of the Goat Format King of Games. The number of invites will be determined based on the number entrants. We plan to hold this event multiple times per year if the structure is feasible.
