I have German extended family and I've always wanted to travel overseas, so I'm tentatively interested in using the GGP as an excuse to visit them (and, of course, to play in the event and meet some duelists from another part of the world).

Would the German scene accommodate a dumb American who doesn't speak any German, bringing his dumb (but shiny) English cards? I have fairly high confidence in my knowledge of the card pool and rulings so I would hope that any theoretical miscommunication issues would not be of the sort that affects the game state. But if this is basically a public announcement of a private party or if I'd be way more ostracized than the usual fish-out-of-water because I rudely didn't learn as much German as the typical German does English, I wouldn't want to make the faux pas of signing up!

The Osnabrück German community is happy to welcome anyone from around the world who wants to play with Goat. everyone is welcome. You don't have to know German, most people can speak English and if not, someone can always help with communication. 🙂👍
