Last weekend the fan favorite 3v3 returned to great success. We've had a large number of players and teams express just how much enjoyment they got out of the day. While these tournaments are certainly made better when you're having fun, in the end, most players also come to win. So, what did the top 4 teams do to become the best 3v3 duelists of the day? Read on to find out!

How did your team prepare for today's event? As captain, was there anything specific you wanted your team to prepare for?
We shared a few thoughts via DM but that's about it. I'd say we trust in our abilities as a team, so we didn't over-analyzed anything.

What decks did your team play today and why? Was there a specific strategy you had in mind as each member made their choice?
We all took a deck we felt comfortable with, 'without making a science out of it' (to quote my brother).

What decks or teams were you looking forward to playing against?
Nothing in particular.

What decks or teams were you NOT looking forward to playing against?

Nothing in particular.

What card had been overperforming for you today?
Abyss Soldier. The man, the myth, the whale!

Is there a specific member of your team that you feel has been overperforming today? If so, who? Explain.
LucasGustafsson. He is - without a doubt - the MVP of the team. So far, he won every single match, proving that he is a top tier duelist, that doesn't take any prisoners. I'd like to highlight, that he was also our MVP during the last team tournament, where me and my brother unfortunately couldn't deliver. A real Delin(k)quent!

What has been your favorite moment of the event so far?
Every single moment when we realized that we won as a team felt incredible.

If you could go back, what (if any) changes would you would make to your or a team member's deck choice today?
Nothing in particular.

How did your team prepare for today's event? As captain, was there anything specific you wanted your team to prepare for?
We didn't test basically at all, we talked in our group chat about lists and sides but we never played or tested. Basically we wanted to be prepared for the field and we felt we did.

What decks did your team play today and why? Was there a specific strategy you had in mind as each member made their choice?
moxies played CC with apprentice and Mark and Ivan played chaos turbo. The strategy we went with was play what we all felt strongest on.

What decks or teams were you looking forward to playing against?
We wanted to play against meta deck, as that's what we were prepared for.

What decks or teams were you NOT looking forward to playing against?
We didn't wanna play vs burn or alt win at all, luckily library was unplayable :) didn't wanna play vs don't ch0puy or uber alders (luckily we won vs don't ch0puy) we didn't wanna play vs our sister teams either, though we did play and beat LRG Diamond in top 4.

What card had been overperforming for you today?
moxies: BLS easily. I would just slam the card and pray its attack went through and it did.
Ivan: None of his cards over performed today
Mark: Loved zaborg in the turbo mirror and says "tomato is busted"

Is there a specific member of your team that you feel has been overperforming today? If so, who? Explain.
mark_mps. he went undefeated until finals and was carrying us for most of the tournament. He was also being great in the group chat always hyping up the team win or loss. Mark Mps is one of the most clutch players in goat history

What has been your favorite moment of the event so far?
moxies: Opening double td and getting trinity looped but winning by a yolo bls slam and attack.
Ivan: Feeling incredible when you lose matches and your teammates have your back and win.
Mark
: Watching Ivan use charity on stream.

If you could go back, what (if any) changes would you would make to your or a team member's deck choice today?
moxies: I wouldn't make any changes. Maybe side deck a bit differently but that's all tourney dependent.
Ivan: Don't main deck mirror force and tribe should be in the main deck.
Mark: No changes I love my deck #FreeFDS

How did your team prepare for today's event? As captain, was there anything specific you wanted your team to prepare for?
Quite a bit went into preparing for today, seeing that we weren't sure ch0pp33r was going to play. We kept looking for other potential third members for copy and I, and we even considered splitting to be another 2 teams' third members. In the end none of this worked out, and ch0pp33r agreed to keep the don't ch0puy dream alive. I couldn't be happier with how it worked out. We did our due diligence in crafting our lists, and we tested with each other and my other team Damage Step (shoutout to DMG!). We also had a lot of faith in our abilities given how the last 3v3s went, and we made sure to get Ceci Cocchi's blessing too!

What decks did your team play today and why? Was there a specific strategy you had in mind as each member made their choice?
Copy played Chaos Turbo, Ch0pper played Warrior, and I played Panda Burn. These are without a doubt the best decks in Goat right now and the ones we know how to play best. We play a variety of decks so that opponents can't be told by teammates what cards we're playing, but we also are familiar with each others' deck and can help each other out. I think most unique of us today was my build of Panda, which is designed to become anti-Turbo/Warrior beatdown with no burn after game 1. This was my solution to the new burn players' bogeyman Meme Wok (Mystik Wok). So far its worked quite well!

What decks or teams were you looking forward to playing against?
I think we were all quite prepared for Turbo, Warrior, Chaos Control, and Burn. I was particularly excited to fight against Turbo with Meme Wok so I could punish their incorrect siding.

What decks or teams were you NOT looking forward to playing against?
I think all of us banked on not having to run into unfair/alt-win decks today, and looking back my plan for Warriors was kind of lackluster. We also didn't look forward to the potential team kill of our team's other pod, Uber Alders. Ch0pp33r adds that he hates how he always loses to Alephya2. Stop German-on-German violence today.

What card had been overperforming for you today?
No one expects Royal Decree from a Panda Burn deck, and it truly shuts down Turbo and Warrior if you slam it turn 1. Fantastic tech that I'll probably never use again. Ch0pp33r was very pleased with his side boarded Magician of Faiths, and Copy was most impressed with his mained Trap Dustshoots.

Is there a specific member of your team that you feel has been overperforming today? If so, who? Explain.
Honestly, everyone has really been pulling their weight equally. I'm most impressed by how well Ch0pp33r has performed today in spite of not playing much Goat since worlds.

What has been your favorite moment of the event so far?
After all the hype, Wok seemed unimpressive today, both to me as a Burn player and Copy as a Turbo player. I would side less around beating Wok and work more to play around it. Copy would not side it at all.

How did your team prepare for today's event? As captain, was there anything specific you wanted your team to prepare for?
We expected high levels of disgusting technology being implemented today so we made sure we had those covered fully.

What decks did your team play today and why? Was there a specific strategy you had in mind as each member made their choice?
We all played Chaos Return, I think we felt like turbo was the best deck coming into this tournament for its consistency and we just tuned it to support our copies of return.

What decks or teams were you looking forward to playing against?
Any of the collaboration teams, we wanted to prove we made the right decision by sticking together as a unit and not wanting to share any of the glory.

What decks or teams were you NOT looking forward to playing against?
Whichever teams were drawing trinity the most.

What card had been overperforming for you today?
Return from the Different Dimension sealed several matches for all of us throughout the day.

Is there a specific member of your team that you feel has been overperforming today? If so, who? Explain.
Lukaz and Dingo are the outperformers today since they already have they invite and are only here to try to get me my invite while also blocking some others.

What has been your favorite moment of the event so far?
I think our decks performed exactly the way we planned them to work but I would have put Dingosig on the same deck as Me and Lukaz for uniform purposes lol.
