Slump decks have seen a resurgence since their placements in several high end events last year. Those versions were much more focused on Heavy Slump as a "fair" and slower strategy. Some versions, like Tegalik's, instead go for plays reminiscent of Jar combo lists. Let's take a look! Deck ListOverview
Player InsightReferring to the list as "Ron control", Tegalik, spoke to this version's origin and potential, noting the many different avenues to victory that it has access to. I've been playing mostly other formats for some time, it's been a while since i played any goat tournament but a while ago i was playing on db ladder a similar version of this deck (copied from aldersoe who was playing it on ladder as well). So basically I heard about this tournament last second by a friend of mine (giorgione) and decided to join. I wanted to play something different from the usual chaos turbo (best deck by far) and i think this deck could be a nice meta call against turbo plus it can be very unfair as well and steal games. Though the tournament didn't go quite they way they wanted, Tegalik was careful to look ahead. It seems as though they already have some changes in mind for next time! All the matches i won the deck performed very good basically executing the jar tayou gameplan. First loss was in round 2 from i think a chaos control and was pretty brutal since i got dustshooted 4 times in 2 games and wasn't able to play at all. Last loss was a really close one g3 where i had the upper hand and card advantage but ultimately he had the perfect tribe to out my board (balter and spy) plus mst for my snatch which left me with 4 cards against a tribe and tomato and no way of preventing lethal.
