Goat Format Championship 20 Deck Tech: PsionicBG's "Coin Toss Chaos"

Aside becoming the new namesake of the format (and all other retro formats) according to Konami, Time Wizard has never made any sort of impact on Goat. Today, PsionicBG decided this wasn't okay and that it was time to put his luck to the test, potentially bring Time Wizard to the forefront of the format with his Second Coin Toss Chaos list! How have lady luck and father time treated him in GFC20? Read on to find out!

Deck List

Coin toss decks are very rare in Goat Format thanks to their inherent luck factor. Still, players looking to put their four-leaf clovers and horse shoes to the test will often play it alongside Blowback Dragon, likely the format's most powerful coin tossing card. Time Wizard, Sasuke Samurai #4, and even Jurai Gumo see play in these decks from time to time as well. All in all, the strategy is aggro-centric, with most of the coin tossing cards being used to clear the way for damage, or otherwise reduce the opponent's card count.

PsionicBG doesn't quite go all in with the namesake, but he's definitely not scared to "call it in the air" as it were. Two Blowback Dragons and three Time Wizards allow for some devastating destruction if Second Coin Toss does its job.

Player Insight

As with many spice enjoyers, PsionicBG chose today's list as a way to break from the norm. It's safe to say that they definitely accomplished this. I can only hope Time Wizard was kind to them, and that their opponent saw the wrath of father time more than he did.
Basically, I got a bit bored of playing only meta stuff, so I decided to build something spicy. The deck runs two Blowbacks and three Time Wizard together with Second Coin Toss, which in some cases allows me to toss again if I am not happy with the result. I used to run three copies of Second Coin Toss, but I found it a bit bricky. The good thing about Time Wizard and Blowback is that they can still resolve on their own. I have also decided to add Three Brain Controls, two Spies, and three Giant Germs just so I can have more bodies on the board for tribute summons. Germs are good because they don't get all banished by NoC and if one resolves I get two bodies. Also, they are DARK, so I can use them as material for Sorc or BLS. three Thunder Dragons speed up the deck a bit, too.

Time wizard is a light and a potential board wipe. Combining Blowback, Time Wizard, and Second Coin Toss I can get a second chance of tossing. Three Brain Control can be used for either fetching a material for a tribute or stealing a boss monster for the win. I do run quite a bit one-tribute monsters in the side deck, hence the three Brain Control come in handy.

Apart from the cards already mentioned, I do run Cyber Jar, Morphing Jar, and Card Destruction, as the deck has a fairly high chance of bricking, so I do need that option to get a new hand.

I managed to beat burn my first game. Sadly, lost the next two games to Chaos Turbo and Chaos Control.
