105 players have all come together today to compete in Goat Format Championship 14! Everyone here wants a shot at the coveted invite to the World Championship event taking place in October, and each player has their own strategy for obtaining it. Luke Jamieson (AKA Forever) decided on an unconventional, but potentially powerful deck: Drain Aggro. Deck ListOverview
Player InsightTaking inspiration from multiple sources, Luke believes Skill Drain to be an underrated card. Though this may be true, it has seen play in Drain Burn decks, which have had tournament success. Additionally, Jamieson is not the only player to bring Drain Aggro to today's event. Regardless, he's definitely hoping to be the most successful of all of them! On that subject, he had this to say about the deck: I didn't want to play the normal Warrior deck. Skill Drain gives me an edge because my cards are bigger than Blade Knight I saw Jirai Gumo played in Critter Format the other day and thought, "Hey, this could work with Drain." Trying unconventional cards and strategies is a fun and often rewarding endeavor, as we've definitely seen in recent events. With a record of 1-1 at the time of publication, Jamieson has the potential to follow in the footsteps of many winning creative players before him.
