2023 Goat Format World Championship Sign Ups

The sign ups for the 2023 Goat Format World Championships are now open!

 If you have qualified for the 2023 Goat Format World Championships fill out this application. You do not submit your deck list during this part of the sign up. In the GoatFormat.com Discord, if you do not have the 2023 Goat Format World Championship role please tag an admin after you have filled out the form, once you have the role you will be able to see all the up to date information on the 2023 Goat Format World Championships. Sign ups close on October 16 with the exception of players who qualify after October 16th, a list of signed up players will not be posted until the day before the event, if you receive the e-mail back confirming you submitted the form when you sign for the world championship from the google form then you do not need to contact GoatFormat.com to ask if you are signed up, you will be contacted if there is any issue with your sign up.

The 2023 Goat Format World Championships will be taking place on October 21st 2023 at 10:00am Eastern, join the GoatFormat.com Discord and check out the Events Tab to see what time the event will be taking place in your own timezone. Deck list submission times and procedure will be announced at a future time in the GoatFormat.com Discord.

The tournament will be two day event with the first day being Swiss format, players who earned 3 or more invites will receive a round 1 bye and perfect tie breakers for swiss which will be manually added at the end of day 1.The second day of the event October 23, starting time 10:00am Eastern, will be Double Elimination format, Day 2 will be either a cut of the Top 16 players or Top 32 players depending on what the qualified players vote for in the GoatFormat.com Discord, the poll can only be found by qualified players in the pinned section of #2023-world-championship. The poll will be closed on October 16th. If you need any help with Discord please tag an admin or ask inside the discord.

The tournament will be played on Duelingbook.com, replays of each round must be posted by the loser of each round. Each round of swiss will be 50 minutes long, once all matches are finished the next round will begin as soon as the head judge announces the round has begun.

Deck list from the top cut players from Day 1 will be posted on GoatFormat.com at the end of Day 1.

Penalties from Day 1 will be carried over to Day 2.

There will be $4000+ in prizes given away including championship belt for first place and token/playmat for all of top 32 (regardless if Day 2 is top 16 or top 32) More information on the prize structure will be given as the event comes closer.
