Overview

Picture
Built to prevent cards from actually being played, Spatial Collapse abuses its namesake, along with similar cards, to great effect. Spatial Collapse and Ground Collapse both pair with Ojama Trio to create a lock that is often impossible to break. Xing Zhen Hu is also common, as it both keeps the field full as well as prevent the opponent from activating spells or traps which might destroy your key cards. As with most lockdown decks, Level Limit - Area B, Gravity Bind, Messenger of Peace, and Wall of Revealing Light are also popular.

How the deck actually closes out the game varies, but many lists will opt for deckout through Outstanding Dog Marron. Simply locking the game and showing the cute puppy is usually enough to get a concession from the player across the table.

Deck List

All of Spatial Collapse's most popular cards are showcased here. Pyramid Turtle searches for Spirit Reaper, who keeps your life points safe should the opponent have a monster in play when the game becomes locked. Kaiser Coliseum works with Reaper and prevents additional summons by the opponent, and both Fake Trap and Solemn Judgement protect lock pieces.

Additional Card Options

Many of this strategy's most important cards are traps, so it's not uncommon to see A Cat of Ill Omen played to search them out early. Should the pilot prefer, Lava Golem, Wave Motion Cannon, and other burn cards could be used to end the game quicker than the traditional deckout method. Finally, Magic Reflector can help keep Ground Collapse, Level Limit, Messenger of Peace, or other key spells from being destroyed.
