Goat Format Championship 9

His two-year journey has finally come to a close: at long last, Carl "Prowaite" Waite is a Goat Format Champion! Over the past two years, Waite has been putting together one of the most impressive resumes in modern Goat history, with Luxury Gaming tournament wins over names like Peter Werthju and Calvin Tahan and more Format Library Championship Day 2 appearances than anyone else you can think of. But a major title had always eluded him -- until today. In a field chock full of Shonen Jump Champions, Format Library Champions and Goat Format Champions, Waite fought his way to winners' side of Grand Finals without skipping a beat. There, he faced off with Zazzles and his finely-tuned Gearfried deck after some heated matches in Losers' Semis and Losers' Finals. It all came down to the wire in Game 3, where Waite turned the tables on Zazzles with a field of Black Luster Soldier, Thunder Dragon and a Snatched Don Zaloog! We're only a month out from the inaugural GoatFormat.com World Championship, but for now, the Goat community stands in awe at its newest Champion. Congratulations to Prowaite, our ninth Goat Format Champion!
