Overview

Picture
Cyber-Stein OTK is a combo deck based on the costly-yet-powerful ability of Cyber-Stein. The combo consists at a minimum of two cards: Stein himself, and either Megamorph or Wild Nature's Release. By paying 5000 life points, the Stein pilot can summon Master of Oz and power it up with one of the aforementioned spells. This will provide the player with enough damage on board to swing in for lethal.

It is not common for the combo to succeed by itself, though. Cards like Giant Trunade and Enemy Controller are used to make a lethal attack more likely to succeed. Trunade itself is often seen as the "third combo piece" because of this.

Though the deck placed 2nd place 2018's DGz Live 214 event, other top finishes are practically nonexistent both in historic and modern tournaments.

Deck List

All of the core combo pieces are included in their maximum numbers here. Additionally, Mystic Tomato is used to reliably find Stein, while Token Thanksgiving both answers opposing scapegoats as well as fuels your life points for additional Stein activations.
Enemy Controller and Lightning Vortex help to make sure you can swing in unhindered. Because Stein will often be available as tribute fodder, both of Controller's modes are often relevant.

Additional Card Options

Because Stein can be found with Last Will, some lists will opt for a Toon Table of Contents package instead of Mystic Tomato. These versions will use Toon Cannon Soldier to reliably activate Last Will and find Stein. Still, others will use the Reasoning and Monster Gate engines to dig through their decks.
