Beatdown
Overview
Everybody's first deck; there is no underlying strategy, no archetypal support, no complicated synergy or combos. It's just pure Aggression. Beatdown is made up of the biggest and fastest threats in the format, and couples them with some of the best spells and traps around. What it lacks in strategy, it makes up for in simplicity.
Berserk Gorilla is by far the most common Beatdown monster, but there is no real vetting process when it comes to what monsters can be included in a Beatdown list. As long as they have a higher-than-average attack stat, they've probably been played. Even vanilla monsters like Luster Dragon see action from time to time. Slate Warrior is popular because of the potential to grow itself or weaken others, and Jinzo makes attacking a carefree endeavor, though it does cost a tribute.
Because ATK is so central to the beatdown strategy, equip spells are also popular. The most powerful of these are Mage Power and United We Stand. Others, like Axe of Despair and Big Bang Shot, are also used.

Deck List
As is common for beatdown, most monsters in this list were chosen specifically for their damage potential. For example, Skilled Dark Magician has great stats all around, and Goblin Attack Force threatens 2300 damage in a single summon. Of the more strategic choices, Kycoo prevents Chaos monsters from being summoned, and Mirage Dragon keeps beaters alive against backrow.
Compulsory Evacuation Device answers Thousand Eyes Restrict (TER), but can also just make way for a direct attack. Smashing Ground kills anything the monsters can't, and Sakuretsu Armor and Widespread Ruin keep Tsukuyomi at bay.

Additional Card Options
Many monsters have found a home in beatdown decks over the years, each with their own special flavor. Blindly Loyal Goblin is one of the more notable choices. Its control can't be changed, which means he's immune to TER and Snatch Steal. There's also Regenerating Mummy, which makes Delinquent Duo, Card Destruction, and Don Zaloog less threatening. While it can't swing into a player's life points, Zombyra helps clear the path against opposing Gorillas or Gravekeeper's Spy, though it can only do so once.
Nobleman of Extermination, Dust Tornado, and Solemn Judgment keep Beatdown's threats from dying to battle traps, while Enemy Controller clears away blockers and works great against Scapegoat. Ceasefire answers flips outright, and even gives extra damage.
