It's come home: the GoatFormat.com World Championship belt has returned to Italy once again, and Ludovico "Ludo" Rizzo is our new World Champion!
Ludo has finished in major tournaments with every placement other than first for a long time now, and what better place to end a championship drought than Worlds? After a grueling seven rounds of Swiss, then a top 32 bracket after that, Ludo faced Bilaal "Shifty" Iqbal in back-to-back Winners' Finals and Grand Finals matches that pit his tuned Chaos Turbo deck against Iqbal's Earth Aggro. Both matches came down to the wire, but Ludo emerged victorious in each, capping off one of the most illustrious journeys to a World Championship title that we've ever seen!Congratulations again to Ludo and all of our Top 32 competitors! |
