The tried and true Chaos Turbo is often considered the best deck in Goat Format. So, of course we're going to see it at the World Championships! Ghostrider15's version opts for a couple interesting techs for the format's most common strategy.

Overview

Picture
Chaos Turbo is all about using flip monsters like Magician of Faith and Gravekeeper's Spy to gain card advantage. Additionally, cards like Thunder Dragon, Sinister Serpent, and Night Assailant make discard effects like Raigeki Break less costly, giving you a huge edge against our opponent. Add in some of the strongest monsters in format (BLS and Chaos Sorcerer) and you have a winning formula that most strategies struggle to best.

There are some interesting differences for Ghostrider15's list compared to others that set it apart. First, the inclusion Mask of Darkness, a flip monster that plays well with Night Assailant and the rest of the deck's gameplan, is uncommon for Turbo. A full 3 Magician of Faith is also fairly rare, as is the complete absence of Deckoichi.

Player Insight

[Chaos Turbo is] my favorite deck and 99% of the time its what I'm going to play for a tournament. I've been using it for a very long time now. I also consider it to be the best deck of the format. It has a playstyle that suits me well. Aggro isn't really my thing. I prefer to be setting monsters and gaining card advantage. Chaos Turbo has a high ceiling but is also very consistent.

I was originally going to play a similar list to my FLC 1st place list but I realized that more burn players were getting their invite to worlds. Thats why I decided to go with triple raigeki break. I also put triple dust tornado in my side. I also decided to main deck torrential tribute because most players wouldn't expect me to be play that card in the main. As usual, I sided a lot for the warrior matchup because of how difficult game 1 can be.

I'm maining triple MOF in this list because I wanted to maximize my odds of recycling back power spells like Pot of Greed, Graceful and Duo. The 1 book is in the list because I needed another spell to justify the triple MOF ratio. Its also a really nice card to play around cards like ring and snatch steal. Speaking of snatch steal, that card isnt a huge problem for this list. Book, MST and triple raigeki break all take care of it. I'm playing triple JOG for max consistency and being able to play around cards like dustshoot and heavy storm

Its been a good experience so far. I had an interesting game against Killer9208. A lot of back and forth gameplay in game 2. He had an early lead thanks to turn 1 pot of greed and duo but a huge mirror force allowed me to start crawling my way back in it. Eventually I had him on the ropes but he managed to win that game thanks to a series of well timed solemn judgments. Fortunately for me I ended up winning game 3 and won the match.
