GGP Lima 2: Top 8 Deck Lists

Even though they’re new to the 2026 season, the Goat community of Lima, Peru has managed to run a second GGP in such a short span of time. It’s incredible to see the Goat World expand! Lima’s last GGP is famous for bringing us the modernized formulation of Ben Kei OTK, which has since seen moderate success in the online meta. The spice level of this event’s top 8 certainly followed this up nicely. Right off the bat, our winner Eduardo Ancasi was packing Zombie Goat control. Zombies themselves rarely make top tables, and Zombie Goat Control is the rarest of them all. In a meta full of Warriors, combining two archetypes that give them trouble certainly sounds solid. Congratulations to Eduardo on the victory and your worlds invite.

Speaking of Warriors, in second we had defending GGP Lima champ Erick Campos return with standard warrior, and in third was Leandro Lopez with what I’d best describe as “Anti-Warrior Warriors.” The core strategy of Warriors keeps its good turbo matchup, but instead of focusing the monster lineup for BLS Lopez instead opted for D.D. Assailant, Spirit Reaper, Goblin Attack Force, and Blindly Loyal Goblin (which doubles as control hate if you can believe it). Other insane picks include only 2 Solemn, 2 Sakuretsu Armor, and 2 Trap of Board Eraser in the side. The lineup is highly creative, and follows a similar trend to OSV’s 2 Skill Dark Magician Warrior just this past weekend at GFC Euro 2026. I suspect to see a lot of interesting Warrior and barely-Warrior aggro decks in the future.

In fourth place we had Anthony Romero with Decree Chaos Control but in fifth we had Eduardo Quezada with a highly eclectic Chaos Chaos Control. 1 Goat, 1 Meta, 1 Wanghu, 1 Blade Knight, 1 Reaper, 1 Dustshoot, 2 Kycoo, and 2 Abyss Solider in the side make for one of the strangest Chaos decks I’ve seen in a hot minute. Is it Turbo? Is it Control? Are those decks secretly the same deck in a trench coat? Who knows!

Top 8 also had Jose Westry on a 3 Solemn 3 Jog Chaos Turbo, a blast from the past I certainly think might be due for a comeback. 

Last but certainly not least, the first and second place decks of GFC 25 return to the top again in hands of Fabricio Valdivia on Gumo Sumo and Mauricio Ortiz on SWAG Cat. Valdivia mostly kept the deck the same (as traditional for the Gumo), but made the choicy substitution of Mind Control over Royal Oppression. Ortiz’s list is not dissimilar to the Kuhb and Petty list with “Puy Theory” that NB96 took to GFC 25, with the added few added side changes and a single mainboard Reload (don’t try this at home, folks).

Congratulations to all these players for their performances and innovations, and congratulations to the Peruvian Goat community for holding two successful events in their first year! We look forward to what future GGP Limas have in store, especially if they stay this spicy!
