"Priority" is not a 4-letter-word. Our rules page has a great explanation of what exactly "priority" is and how it works, but the mechanic still trips up a lot of players in part due to misunderstandings about priority that continue to ripple throughout the Goat Format community. I will directly clear up each of the biggest misconceptions surrounding priority so that our players can all gain a more concrete understanding of this mysterious game mechanic.

We have good news, bad news, and more good news. The first piece of good news is that our Discord server's GoatBot now has the capability to automatically run tournaments through challonge, saving our staff members time by not having to manually enter results from each round and allowing them to instead use their time entirely on streaming and judging. The bad news is that our July Freeroll isn't going to have prizes quite on par with our last freeroll. The reason for this is simple: We need to test our bot's new tournament-running capabilities to make sure there aren't any bugs. In the case that there are any unforeseen bugs, we'd rather that not happen during a super high-stakes tournament.
The last piece of good news? Our August Freeroll will have prizes so huge, that will be by far the largest prize support for a free tournament in the history of Goat Format Yu-Gi-Oh! (if not Yu-Gi-Oh! as a whole). What prizes are they, you might ask? Can't reveal that just yet. Read on for info about our next two tournaments.
A handful of players have asked us about how they can contribute a few dollars to GoatFormat.com other than just buying one of our T-shirts. However, we don't like to ask for handouts from the community, so instead we have created a VIP program which will allow you to support the Goat Format community while also receiving a multitude of benefits. And for those who would like access to the VIP program without spending a few bucks a month, there is good news: There are other ways to become a VIP. All of the details behind the program are explained below.
The top rankings for Yu-Gi-Oh!'s Goat Format have been significantly shaken up since our last update. We've decided to change things up a bit ourselves here. Rather than just give you a breakdown of the top players by elo ranking, we have also started keeping track of our players' all-time money winnings from our freeroll tournaments. (We will be running these tournaments more frequently from now, so stay tuned for more announcements regarding tournaments.) Without further ado, here are your top3 players in prize winnings and your top10 players by elo...
A brand new Yu-Gi-Oh! facebook group known as the Online Goat Format Community just kicked off its first tournament! 44 players entered, and the winner will be taking home an ultimate rare Pot of Greed. With the tournament’s first round of Swiss now wrapping up, now would be a great time to take a look at the deck breakdown for the event! Here are the decks being represented in the competition...
