On March 15th, 2026, the Goat Format Grand Prix circuit returned to South America in spectacular fashion as we made our way back to beautiful Buenos Aires, Argentina for its second-ever GGP. After an unforgettable first visit, expectations were sky-high, and once again, the Argentine community delivered in a massive way.

Welcome to our coverage of the first-ever GGP Costa Rica, held this past weekend on March 15th, 2026! 🇨🇷 And what a weekend it was! This marked one of three GGP events hosted across the LATAM region, continuing an incredible stretch for the Goat Format scene. As a brand-new destination for GoatFormat.com, GGP Costa Rica made a strong first impression and it absolutely delivered.
What is up, Goat World!
History was made this weekend with the biggest GGP turnout Latin America has ever seen! To kick off the weekend, we touched down in north-central Mexico, in the state of Querétaro, where Retro Format Arena (retroformatarena.com) hosted GGP Querétaro. While this was the city’s second GGP event ever (first was last season hosted by Aztec Gaming), this was our first time working with Retro Format Arena alongside community leader CharlieMAD (Discord: charliemad_). Massive shoutout to them, their team, staff, judges, and, of course, the incredible number of players who showed up, dueled it out, and supported their community. The event was also sponsored by Avarcia.art 2026. With that said, let’s jump into the details of the event and then break down the Top 8 decklists for you all.  Goat Grand Prix Osnabrück proved to be a huge success for the GGP circuit with 229 players competing for a chance at the world championship. Academy League is a tournament style where players compete starting at Slifer rank to become Ra rank, and finally become Obelisk to earn a Worlds invite for first place! You can join the server HERE.  With 71 players, PWCQ 83 was the biggest PWCQ to date! Lots of great duelists showed up with lots of great decks (including yours truly back on her ol’ reliable Panda Burn), but at the end it looks like Chaos was the name of the game for last weekend’s event.
