Goat Format Championship 22

Over a hundred players entered, and only one remained at the end: Adam "AJTBLS" Teshuba is your newest Goat Format Champion! After nine Swiss rounds and more than a day of nonstop action, Teshuba found himself on the loser's side of Top 8: he would need to win four straight matches just to make it to Grand Finals. And four straight matches he did win: against Giya76, Moxies, Puy and Hernyhog, in four different matchups to boot! Dmitry "InsiDS" Summovsky was waiting for him on the winner's side of Grand Finals, and Teshuba would have to win two matches in a row to take home the tournament. He was able to take the first match without too much fanfare, and the second one came down to the wire: swift wins on each side sent our Top 2 competitors to a decisive Game 6. Teshuba took an early lead, but Summovsky started to claw his way back in with a Night Assailant-Tsukuyomi combo. That forced Teshuba to summon the first Chaos Sorcerer of the game, and the classic Chaos arms race began, as both Duelists began to throw Sorcerers and Snatch Steals at each other until only one boss monster remained. At the end, it was Teshuba who had a Sorcerer on the field (with two Snatch Steals equipped to it). Just like that, a two-time Format Library Champion added a Goat Format Championship to his trophy case, and the second GFC of 2024 was behind us! Congratulations again to Teshuba on a hard-fought victory, and congratulations to all of our Top 8 competitors!
