Goat Format Championship 21

We're kicking off 2024 with a bang: another 232 players, and another newly-crowned Champion! Anthony Alvarado added a Goat Format Championship to his resume, capping off a long year of Chaos Turbo optimization with a historic run to boot. Alvarado dropped into the loser's bracket in the very first round and had to rattle off eight wins in a row just to get a chance to play in Day 2, landing himself in a Top 16 chock full of Goat Format Champions and Format Library Champions. And the winning didn't stop there: an extremely technical Turbo mirror against teammate and perennial competitor Dmitry "InsiDS" Summovsky landed him in Winners' Finals. There, he faced Lele "Purple Drunk" de Angelis, always hungry for a Goat Format Championship to add to his belt, and Alvarado's work was cut out for him: he was playing a thirty-eight card mirror match, with only two card differences in the Main Deck. Back-to-back wins in Winners' Finals and Grand Finals earned Alvarado the mainline Goat Format Championship title that has eluded him for so long, cementing a triple crown of Goat Format Championship, Format Library Championship and Shonen JUMP Championship victories and establishing himself as the player to beat in 2024. Congratulations to Alvarado and to all of our Top 16 competitors!
